    Dawson Fur Hire

Pardon me if I gush like a fangirl. I love the books this talented author gives us. Do you want a great book? Read one of hers.
Dawson... oh Dawson. He was so unhappy but then he found Kate. Our Ms. Joyce doesn't have that be the end of the story though because there is a lot more drama and excitement to still unfold.
I love that these tales of shifters and their romances have so many layers and dimensions. The characters are interesting and real and if you exclude their shifting abilities they are very believable. It's as if each element in these books is a tight fitting puzzle piece that fits perfectly.
Boy do I enjoy all her books but this was one of my favorites. Kate was not a tough, bad a$$ female. She was meek but very, very important. She was strong without being bossy or quirky or hardened. She was perfectly normal but a fantastic leading female character without being weak.
I appreciated that Dawson being resistant to mating Kate wasn't drug out too overly long and that Kate's wariness and fear weren't beaten into the ground. I'm glad we found out the mystery behind Clayton.
Basically I just appreciated the whole book.
I'm waiting expectantly for Chance's book.

    Best One thus far!
    By JamieS
After reading many of Ms. Joyce's books, I have to say that this series has become better as it progressed. It is truly different from the last two series. I had to keep this in mind at the beginning. That being said, each book has managed to get better and better. The back story for each character continues to build more intrigue as to where the series will go. With new revelations in this book, it will be interesting to see how the series is finished (or maybe not) with the next book. This book was not supposed to have been part of the series, but in my opinion, it is the best yet! Great job (as usual)!!!

    A Captivating Reading Experience!
    By PURPLE JEWELS
The romance between Kate and Dalton didn't quite enrapture me as much as the ones in Books 3 and 4 did but for the life of me I can't fully articulate why. Although, I understand that "instant love" or "Instant attraction, " as some refer to the phenomena, is a mainstay in a fated mate romance but, for me, the progression of Dalton and Kate's romantic feelings toward each other felt just a tab bit too quick. Nevertheless, I gave it 5 stars anyway because 4.5 wasn't an option under amazon's rating system, everything else about the story was great and because my reaction may have been due to my own state of mind rather than a shortcoming of the story. BTW, Link did an excellent job of explaining why the aforementioned phenomena occurs with shifter romances rather than in a typical human/human romance. I suspected that this was the reason but I think that this was the first time that I seen it explained in a book in this genre. However, the rest of the story was totally captivating. As in the last two book, "Dawson Fur Hire" was filled with depth and emotion that one wouldn't expect in a werewolf "fated mate" paranormal romance. The writing was good, as usual, and was concise yet vivid. The character development was spot on. Kat was a strong, admirable, likable and relatable character. And, oh my gosh, Dalton was knee weakening yummy-licious in both his , devotion, appearance, alpha maleness and his heart breaking vulnerability. Their relationship had believable chemistry and depth. The story's pace was perfect. Not too slow and not too fast. The story was told from a 3rd person/narrative POV which worked perfectly for this story. As usual, it was a delight to get to spend time with all the characters from previous books. There were some "hot" love scenes but they were well written and seamlessly woven into the fabric of the story. There are no cliffhanger ending in this Series. Each book would make a reasonably satisfying stand alone read. I said "reasonable" because I think reading the entire Series and in order would provide a richer experience. At times the story made me sad, cheer, gasp in fear, laugh and even cry. Quite a delightful feat for a shifter romance. The scene in Fina's bedroom and a scene at the end made me cry. Overall, this was a delightful and satisfying reading experience. I highly recommend this book and this Series.I plan to read Chance Fur Hire as soon as I post this review. I really hate to see this wonderful and engaging Series come to an end.
p.s In previous reviews I referred to Dalton and Chance as the Dawson brothers when in fact they are technically only cousins who were brought up together and think of each other more as brothers. Also I keep forgetting to commend the author on the smoking hot males gracing the cover of the book in this Series. Whew! Talk about mouth watering eye candy. Yum! Yum! LOL
