Book has several significant errors within the first 74 pages

I have been reading this book and following along with the steps, however, thus far (within the first 74 pages)I have encountered several "significant" errors, incorrect Menus,wrong screenshots, omitted procedure steps.
I am not going to list the errors here because I am sure that the Authors (and their FRIENDS) knew or should have known that the errors are there. It is obvious that no one tested all of the steps in the FI section.

For once I wish that "someone" would tell the absolute truth about these books when posting their reviews; so that consumers will know upfront what they are getting before hand!

If you buy this book, I guarantee you that you will encounter these errors within the first 74 pages of this book!!!!

What you do need to know about FICO.

Very good indeed. A good case study. You can learn FICO from theory and practice. Small errors: command paths, company codes mixed.
In CO, it is a pitty there is nothing about CO-PC (material ledger) and could be included more information regarding Report Painter and Substitution/Validation rules.
No doubt it is worth buying. It is valuable for newcomers and experient consultants.

I have heard that the books of SAP Press have errors, but that (it isn't from SAP books) is very good, the author explain very well, he writes in a way that the reader understands clearly.

The book is largely concerned with selecting/designing information security controls based on the advice in ISO/IEC 27002. Covering the same sequence of topics, the text expands on the standard's relatively high level descriptions of all manner of information security controls. The advice it dispenses is quite detailed, suited to mid-level/junior managers and specialists designing and implementing an Information Security Management System.

Now in its fifth edition, the authors have consistently updated the book to mention topical information security issues such as Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), virtualization, social media and cloud computing, even though these are not explicitly mentioned in the current ISO/IEC 27000-series standards.

The writing is clear and the guidance sensible.

Information security professionals working for ISO/IEC 27001 certified organizations recommend this book: it is a worthwhile supplement to the standards themselves.

On the precipice of annihilation

Having just finished reading "The Last Campaign" by Thurston Clarke about RFK's 1968 presidential campaign, I decided to read "Thirteen Days". I bought some other books about the Cuban Missile Crisis, but wanted RFK's memoir and perspective about the situation before reading more current historical accounts.

The first item that is a resonant theme forty years later is the ability of JFK to surround himself with diverse points of view and weigh all approaches to this stand-off before ultimately making his decision. This is in remarkable contrast with the current administration of George W Bush. However, RFK outlines the difficulty of individuals to even be honest with a President and the process that the select innner circle of military and civilian people went through -- no holds barred sessions without the JFK present -- that enabled them to outline the various options for him to consider.

The second item that struck me was the simplicity of this memoir. RFK did not go into exhaustive detail, but gave enough "insider" perspective to (1) make people realize how close we were to the brink of world destruction, (2) outline the calm and collected approach of the JFK in the face of such esacalating tension.

Why only a four? As with any memoir, there are certainly alternative perspectives that clearly don't get represented and covered objectively given the writer's bias and interest. For instance, historical records have shown that Kennedy did agree to remove missiles from Turkey as part of the negotiations with Khruschev -- even though this was delayed in order to ensure that there was no appearance of a quid pro quo. This does not diminish the value and perspective of "Thirteen Days", just reflects my opinion that it doesn't represent the definitive account of the Cuban Missile Crisis, but does provide the clearest inside picture of two weeks that the world came closest to nuclear annihilation during the Cold War.

the hand that pleases or punishes you!

normally i love reading BDSM stories, seeing how other perceive it. if you want to read a few shorts in between they're not bad, however if you want to go deeper into this topic i do feel there is something missing. also would have loved to see a female dom, something most won't touch. sometimes the men came across a bot more like bullies then a Dom. overall it's not a bad read but would have seen a bit more "reality" to it with this genre being the new "it" thing to read.

Hot Nights of Submission

I received a copy of Under His Hand in exchange for an honest review. I gave the entire book a 5/5 but I also ranked this stories individually.
Sarah’s Seduction: Temptation was a good story. I would have loved an epilogue or a small update to the two in the future. I gave it 4/5. Being Trevor’s was good but it rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I felt that Rebecca was a bit of a doormat in the beginning. I understand that she needed to be submissive just as much as Trevor needed to be dominant but something about her rubbed me the wrong way. I would read more about these two to see if she grew a spine. You don't have to be a doormat to be submissive. I gave it 4/5. Obeying Mr. Collins had a female lead that was the complete opposite of the female lead in Being Trevor. I loved Natasha, she was no pushover but still managed to be submissive to Mr. Collins. I would love to read a full novel on the two characters. I gave it 5/5. A Beautiful & Dark: Obsession is an amazing story and the lead characters, Alexander and Sophia make it so. I love a good second chance romance, or in this case, a third chance romance. You could feel the romance and passion between these characters. I was a bit concerned that they weren't going to get a happy ending, but it ended well for the couple. I gave it 4/5. Ava & Sevastian: Cry, got a 4/5. For me, this one started out a bit slower thatn the others stories but I loved it. It was exciting and sexy and I would love to read more from the author about these characters.

What if there was a futuristic city in America?

What would it be like to live in a city of the future? What if someone had already started one of these futuristic cities, and we could visit it today? Pat McCord's "The Rings of Venus" imagines just such a scenario. Nick Hammond gets a reprieve from school when is dad arranges for the family to move into a futuristic city in central Florida (based on the philosophies of futurist and designer Jacque Fresco). Leaving a typical American neighborhood, the family begins a very different kind of life where self-replicating machines build structures in one day, cars drive themselves and schools as Nick knows them are non-existent. Not all is paradise, though. The only other kid Nick's age was sent to Venus by the Florida detention system and is determined to destroy the city. Even worse, the most beautiful girl Nick has ever known, Alana, may not be what she seems. The plot and sub plots in this story make a fascinating read.

What is so cool about this book is the way the author manages to present the whole idea as believable; as if there really could be such cities just a car ride away. The amazing thing is that while this city is almost magical in its ability to address human needs, the reader clearly sees how today's technology could become the basis for this kind of living in the future, leaving the reader with a bit of wide-eyed wonder and thinking "what if. . . ?" Not just for kids--everyone will love this book, with graphics by Jacque Fresco.

Fabulous fiction. . .or fact?

While geared for young adult, this old adult was amazed by the utter believability of a totally automated society. The Venus Project actually exists in Florida, and McCord has taken that reality and pushed the envelope to maximum capacity. With food coming up through the floor and machines creating buildings on their own, the barriers between fact and science fiction are blurred. While supportive of the project the author skillfully crafts some 'trouble in paradise,' which I won't reveal here. An entertaining read and, even better, one that will spark a lot of discussion with your kids.

About the Author

Frank Dane received a B.S. in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Kansas.  His advisor was Larry Wrightsman and he has certainly followed in Larry’s footsteps in terms of staying active in publishing and doing research.  He was Associate Professor of Psychology at Clemson University from 1983-1988 and he then moved to Mercer University in Georgia where he was Associate Professor and Department Chair of Psychology.  He stayed at Mercer as the William Heard Kilpatrick Professor of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and as Professor of Internal Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine until 2001 and then moved to his current position as James V. Finkbeiner Endowed Chair of Ethics and Public Policy in the College of Arts and Behavioral Sciences.

KINDLE VERSION IS INCOMPLETE!!

I had to buy this book for class. I am interested in psychology and I credit the author for making this book pretty enjoyable when the subject is so boring and dry. The book is even funny at parts. I purchased the Kindle version of the book so that I could search through it faster, highlight the key terms, and add notes without having to get a pen or highlighter. I praise the publisher for making this book available on Kindle in order to make all of that possible. However, I would like to warn others that the Kindle version of this book is incomplete! I have read a good portion of the text and there are parts where it just stops mid-sentence and goes on to a new paragraph. I have no idea how much is actually missing, but my guess is (hopefully) just a few words here and there. I write this review in an effort to urge Amazon to review this product in order to correct this mistake.

I will give an example from the book:
"The more you think about what you are reading, and the more you pay attention to what others have written about what they read-good or bad- the more your reading will
*Next Paragraph* The SQ3R method of reading..."

I liked the book, like I said, but if you have to purchase it for school or even for casual reading, avoid the Kindle version.

I recommend this text, but not as your only resource

-This book covers a vast amount of information about the entire NS in a detailed way.
-Some of the diagrams are very helpful.
-It is mostly well written.
-I found this book to be helpful while building a base of knowledge in this subject area.

Cons:
-This book would benefit from further editing (e.g. some chapter and subject headings are marked incorrectly making referencing particular topics more difficult than it needs to be).
-Some of the diagrams could be better labeled or more detailed.
-Some sections of the book could have used a bit more elaboration. (Although, to be fair, there were no more than a few instances of this.)

Overall, this is a helpful text that covers a great deal of information, and I would recommend it to any student of neurophysiology.

Perfect 'Neuro_' RESOURCES

Perfectly concise & enthralling to read
The only book I found with genuinely excellent additional resources to complement integrative study [expertConsult's fine ~me]
eg: NeuroScan+Slice have all normal neuroradiology you'd ever need for your radiology internship like cross-sections of spinal cord, brainstem
NeuroLab shows strong self-simulated interactive experiments from membrane potential genesis to mechanism of special senses
NeuroVid makes the only complete & clear Neurological examination I came across
+ I guess u could get free access to it on hodderplus.co.uk/neurophysiology in its 'additional resources' tab after registry.

Anyhow, the book is a necessity with mnemonically labelled clinical signs of all relevant neuropathology I just cracked my annual exam with; was an easy recall. I coupled it with 1st year med school neurology course (in moderation, not page by page yet) & it instilled a strong base+deeper understanding re-enforcing my aim to pursue something in Medical Neurology.
It supplemented my USMLE Board studies for now I feel, full 360° for Neurology

Totally worth the purchase, exceeded expectations.

Entertaining and Inspiring.

I found this book to be very informative and full interesting information about how some of our role models and icons start their day. If you want to learn how to get more out of your life then you could do worse than read this book and see if you need to adopt some of the habits of the rich and famous. It's written in a really good way that entertains but also gets across some useful information.

This book explains how to make good habits. It contains common sense methods of creating and breaking habits so you can move on to be the best person you can be. I have already made a plan for replacing some of my bad habits with some good ones.

Success is something that doesn't come suddenly and it requires great discipline and patience. This book perfectly sums up the habits and ritual of successful people and teaches the reader how he/she can be successful by implementing those practices in their lives. I am very glad that I found this book and I definitely learned a lot from it. This is why I strongly recommend it!

Not what I thought from the title

Just a warning:

I'm disappointed with this book but it actually looks pretty good for an *English* rhyming dictionary.

I had searched Amazon for 'French Rhyming Dictionary' and this came up.

I wanted a book of *French* rhymes. This is not one.

The book is called 'The Poet's Manual and Rhyming Dictionary ***(French Edition)*** but it contains not a word of French.

I really wish that the fact it is *not* a 'French Rhyming Dictionary* had been explained in the description.
