beautiful book but has some annoying issues

I wanted to give this book a 5 star rating, however, there are some very annoying publication issues with it that prevented it from getting the 5 stars.
I've been wanting to get the original Alla Prima but was holding off because of the price. Then I found Alla Prima II and it was supposed to have all the original stuff plus more, and the price was more in my budget. Since I have not had the privilege of seeing the original, I cannot compare it to this one. My first impression when I opened the box was it was a beautiful book and I couldn't wait to start reading it. I've only gotten about 70 pages read so far, and I am very happy with the content, it's well written and informative. I've already gained knowledge in being able to isolate a problem area and how to dissect it to find a fix. I can't wait to get through the rest of the book.
now the annoying part ... there are typos in the text that show poor proofing prior to publication. It certainly doesn't take away from the content of the text, you can still understand the intent of the sentence. For me though, I find it very annoying to see it in an otherwise beautiful, fairly expensive, book.
***Update - I contacted the press and heard back from them, they tell me they have had the book re-edited and the 2nd run of printing (in progress now) will have the majority of the typos fixed. So if it will bother you as much as me, you may want to find out which printing you are purchasing before ordering.

I am Not Worthy

I am not worthy to critique Richard Schmid's work nor his writing.
Am brand new to painting, in fact I went out and purchased paints after I had read this book.
If nothing else, READ Chapter 8, then do the color pallets. It will blow your mind if you are new to this artistic form.
I wish I lived next door to Mr. Schmid. He would probably put up a barbed wire fence and buy a guard dog to keep me from bothering him.
